James Cameron dirigirá Avatar 2 y 3

El director James Cameron anunció que firmó un contrato con Twentieth Century Fox para filmar dos secuelas de la mega-exitosa "Avatar".
Las fechas de lanzamiento tentativas son diciembre de 2014 y diciembre de 2015.

"Es una extraña y destacable oportunidad que un cineasta pueda construir un mundo de fantasía y verlo crecer, con los recursos y la sociedad de una compañía global de medios", afirmó Cameron en un comunicado. 

Lo único que se sabe del argumento de estas secuelas es que serán historias autoconclusivas que formarán parte de un arco más grande y seguirán explorando los temas y personajes del primer film.

Transformers 3 en 3D??

La nueva de los robotitos podría plasmarse en este formato.

Ya son varios los medios que se hacen ecos de la versión: la tercera parte de "Transformers" se realizaría en 3D. Todo muy lindo, pero estos rumores se contradicen a lo expresado tiempo atrás por el propio Michael Bay, director responsable de las entregas anteriores, quien se había manifestado en contra de esta modalidad. Claro que esto fue antes de "Avatar" y todo lo que rodea al éxito de la temporada. Luego de ver los logros (artísticos y económicos) conseguidos por James Cameron con su película, Michael Bay estaría replanteándose la posibilidad de las tres dimensiones. Pero todo esto tiene su contra, amigos amantes de las luchas robóticas: si esto se concreta, la realización de la película se demoraría mucho más de lo esperado.

Avatar alcanzó en el primer día de su lanzamiento en Blu-ray una suma de 1,5 millones de unidades vendidas en los Estados Unidos. Batió el récord de El caballero negro, que en el 2008 vendió 600.000 unidades. La proyección de venta de Avatar en ese formato y en DVD es de 4 millones de discos.

Los na´vis del filme Avatar escucharían Eminem y James Blunt, según un estudio sobre los gustos de los alienígenas de la literatura y el cine de ciencia ficción, en función de la distancia de sus planetas con respecto a la Tierra.
